Meet Ellyn!

Hi there! Thank you for your interest. My name is Ellyn, which means "sun ray" or "shining light", and I hope to be a ray of light in your life. 

I have a calming yet joyful energy about me, a strong intuition and innate healing abilities that I feel called to share. 

In the 'real world' I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and a background in Hospice & Palliative Care.   

In childhood I could easily connect with the spirit world and knew I had healing abilities, but didn't know what to do with it... 

In 1995 I had a near death experience when Influenza B attacked my heart. Cardiac surgeons used cryotherapy to safely disconnect my heart from my body to place me on a biventricular assist device  that pumped the blood for me while I recovered from the virus. I believe this experience opened me up to a deeper  connection with nature and the Universe. 

I experienced my Spiritual Awakening in 2019 when going through a series of health setbacks, as they tend to do... I was offered Reiki by an Integrative Nurse to help me cope and when we first met there was an instant connection and she  helped me start my path of learning, and I haven't stopped yet!

I am now a Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho form, Energy Medicine Practiioner, Synergy of Sound Practitioner and Meditation Teacher. I am also certified in Mediumship, and occasionally get information from the other side during sessions. 

As a lifelong learner I continue to take add to my 'healing toolkit', and am currently enrolled in Energy For Life Coaching, with Master Healer Lisa Ishwari Murphy and the other amazing teachers at the Sva Ha Academy in New Bedford, MA. 

In my spare time I have a passion for native pollinator-friendly gardening and hiking the Appalachian Trail. So far I have backpacked almost 1300 miles from southern Virginia to Carter Notch in New Hampshire.
