What is Reiki?
Reiki is a deeply relaxing Japanese form of energy healing. To put it simply, we all have a series of energy centers called Chakras throughout our bodies. There are many, but the seven main ones run along the spine, from the tailbone to the top of the head, through which our Prana, or Life force, flows. Each chakra has effects on our wellbeing, is associated with different glands in the body and has an energetic vibration associated with different emotional states. If not tended to they can get blocked or 'gunked up' and 'dis-ease' can occur. This can present as physical ailments to stored dense emotions like fear or sadness, difficulties speaking your truth, giving or receiving love easily, or feeling disconnected from your religious or spiritual beliefs, and the Universe.
Reiki practitioners use light hands-on healing (or not, if you prefer) to channel Universal energy through to release and transmute dense energies in the body and clear and open the chakras to get them flowing in the right direction. This leaves you feeling lighter, more balanced, and relaxed yet energized.
WHAT IS ENERGY HEALING aka ENERGY MEDICINE?
Ellyn is trained in several methods of energy healing that don't necessarily have a 'name', but can be quite powerful.

During a 90-minute Transformational Energy and Sound Healing session Ellyn blends Reiki, noted above, with these practices as well as sound healing for a tailored in-depth healing session.
What is Sound healing?
Sound Healing is integrated into all of Ellyn's healing sessions. She uses a variety of unique musical instruments, sometimes on and over your body, incorporating sacred geometry, numerology and Natural Law to keep you in the pulse of the Universe, expand your chakras and consciousness, clear and energize your Pranic Tube (where your life force energy flows), and transmute dense energies that may be stuck in your body and biofield.
Instruments include: frame drum, gong, crystal bowls, tuning forks, various chimes and more. Tibetan singing bowls are played in a rhythmic pattern to help you embody intentions and high coherent frequencies.

*Please note that sound healing is not for everyone - it should be avoided if you have epilepsy, or if you have metal devices in your body, such as a pacemaker, coronary shunt, artificial heart valves, or metal pins or staples. Please let Ellyn know if you have tumors, implants, screws, or artificial joints so she can avoid placing instruments on those parts of your body.
